Duckie Presents...
PANIC ON THE STREETS
OF LONDON
The Un-Official Steven Patrick Morrissey Fan Club Convention

Friday 10 June
9pm - 3am
The Coronet
Right next to Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre & Tube,
New Kent Road, SE1

Hostessed by Miss Amy Lamé, America’s answer to Diana Dors
with ‘hanging’ DJ’s London Readers Wifes.

Take me out tonight: where there’s music and there’s people and they’re young and alive...

In the shadow of the pink apocalypse that is the Elephant & Castle shopping centre, in a former picture palace turned nightclub, Duckie present the ultimate homo-homage to English pop’s greatest nostalgic,
  Steven Patrick Morrissey.

For Mancunian Miserablists, Latino Literates,
Ravishing Ruffians, Pretentious Pooftahs,
Big Girls and anyone who ever wished they were a
character in a Shelagh Delaney play.

Featuring talkaoke, puppetry, poetry, karaoke, contemporary dance, intro version, visceral video vox-poncery, quiff-coirferring, hearing aids, gladioli nostalgia, and some brilliant pop song performances.

Post drag New York punkster Justin Bond (from Kiki & Herb) collaborates with the Readers Wifes Band; The Puppini Sisters take 1940’s Andrews Sisters stylee harmonies to Smiths classics; Talkaoke provides a forum for you to discuss the essential Moz issues; Tina C. revisits Suffer Little Children as a country music classic; Nathan Evans presents a Smiths puppet show as soap opera; a team of hairdressers, stylists and photographers are on hand to cast and capture you in the classic Morrissey poses...and other such nonsense.

This event is part one of The Readers Wifes Holy Trinity - Duckie’s triptych of salutations to their fave-rave English pop cultural icons –
David Bowie, Kate Bush & Morrissey
  this summer at The Coronet.

DUCKIE: POP, PERFORMANCE, PARTICIPATION & PRETENSION.

Advance tickets £15 in person from The Retro Bar,
2 George Court, off The Strand, WC2.
Limited tickets available on the door. Advance purchase advised.

Seems a very strange line up for a Morrissey night. I'm sure it will give Morrissey a laugh (or cry). The man who always has denied it being any body's business that he discusses his sexuality is now having tribute nights about him by gay puppets and men called Amy Lame.

    What will come next?

The Duckie crowd include the best djs in London. The people behind this were the same people who did the ICA thing at the beginning of the 1990s, which culminated in everybody marching to Buckingham Palace singing "The Queen Is Dead".

It will be an epic evening.
