Good Charlotte drummer Chris Wilson has left the band due to "personal health problems," according to a post on the band's official Web site. He will be replaced by Dean Butterworth, who was most recently on tour with Morrissey. The band says that Wilson will "stay around his friends and family and begin to truly rehabilitate." Wilson joined GC in 2002. The band's original drummer, Aaron Escolopio, is currently a member of the band Wakefield.

from the Good Charlotte website:

To all the GC fans:

It comes with a heavy heart to tell all those that will listen the following news...

Many of you may already know, our drummer Chris Wilson has been on and off the road due to personal health problems. Unfortunately, his problems continue and we have made a collective decision to have Chris stay around his friends and family and begin to truly rehabilitate. As of the beginning of the Good Charlotte "Noise To The World Tour" with Simple Plan, GC will be playing with Dean Butterworth (who most recently played with Morrissey).

How long is the tour then? (Score:0)
Does this mean he's left Morrissey?

Starts today 12 May, ends 14 July.

There is a break between 05 June and 29 June, so Dean could still play the Isle of Wight which is 11 June, I think.

All of the late June and July dates are in far east Asia, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore.

maybe more show will be added but that is the extent of it so far.

it might not be but it could set up another "re" union of sorts....

Gary Day And Spencer Cobrin leave....Woody Taylor And Johnny Bridgewood enter and record "Vauxhall And I" after which Woody Taylor leaves. 1995 sees the return of Spencer, stays within the fold until the end of the Maladjusted tour. Enter Spike Smith and returning bass man Gary Day for the 1999-2000 (OYE ESTEBAN) Tour....2002 sees the premier of "DEANO" Dean Butterworth on drums for Morrissey and "stays" up until now - [why? GC takes him] while Alain leaves for reasons unbecoming, replaced shortly by the "wannabe" Johnny Marr impersonator and then Jesse "Cantiflas" Tobias. If that's up to par, why not imagine BOTH ALAIN and SPENCER returning to the fold?

Don't get me wrong I like "Deano" and his drumming but I like how Spencer drums a bit better.

    like i said PURE SPECULATION
