Art Brut ask Morrissey to forgive his parents

Benni Dangerous writes:

Art Brut (London band famous for Formed A Band) released their third single, "Emily Kane", on Monday (2nd May) and on it is the B-Side "About Time".

The opening line "There was a time when I couldn't stomach Morrissey" and goes on to "I hope this doesn't cause offence, but I think its time you forgave your parents, I've nothing to say in their defence, but I think its time you forgave your parents."

A really touching song, nearly brought a tear to my eye.

Check it out, its nice

I've seen them live (in support of Luke Haines) and they were awesome. Great performers. The lead singer is very charismatic and they are extremely interesting lyrically.

a kind of outsider quality to their stuff. Emily Kane is a great single.

Not much gets me excited (musically) these days, but, I saw this lot on MTV2 with 'Formed a Band', so I went to see them live in a little local club.

Fantastic energy, attitude, wit and a raw stripped down sound.

Combine that with a frontman, Eddie Argos(!), who had me laughing/enjoying his shirt ripping performance almost as much as the first time I saw Moz on TOTP, all of those years ago.

Catch them now, close up, 'cos, he/they will be MASSIVE.
