Noel has Johnny Marr hair and is a very bright man. He once said that Morrissey + Marr were a present from god, and that Marr was only put on earth for Noel.

How pompous is this dude? I don't know who's worse Noel Gallagher, or that annoying "bloke" who's interviewing him. The only thing that might redeem Noel is if he mentioned that comedian from the 80's Gallagher, and they were somehow half brothers or first cousins. That'd be funny.

Noel said Franz Ferdinand was the modern day Right Said Fred. I mean come on... these are two of the best new bands to come along in a LONG while. The Scissor Sisters live are simply amazing. So much energy. Like watching a disco version of an Iggy Pop show. I am betting they do it just for the publicity but it might not hurt to stop cutting down other new and very artistic acts.

OK as a band but they are not indie, I just can't stand their fanbase. The Stone Roses were the last real British indie band and their gigs always had interesting people at them who loved the music and the art. Oasis released a fine debut album which still sounds good, the defining moment for me when they went downhill was when they released Whatever followed by all that awful Wonderwall/Don't Look Back era drivel. The thing that really turned me against them was the stereotype boys in tracksuits who thought they were "alternative and weird" by listening to Oasis. Blimey, how rock and roll. The same boys' girlfriends were also into Robbie Williams and any association with mainstream populist ways just put me off it all. I must admit that I think their more recent stuff is good but they will always be remembered as the bannd that brought stereotype Lacoste wearing crewcut scummers to the indie scene and effectively killed the indie element of it. I don't want to be one of the masses. It's embarrasing.
