There are no credits on the "Quarry" sleeve, where on can know who wrote what???

a couple grand?

......are rubbish.

No offence to Boz, as he did write the brilliant 'Jack The Ripper' and the superb 'Speedway' amongst other things.

But his songwriting contributions to Quarry have been crap.

Let's hope Boz is back on form for the next album.

Glad to see your talent as a songwriter being recognized in a more official capacity, with some media props -- you deserve it! You've written some absolute classics for Moz that will stand the test of time.

These two are really talented people.It seems as if they are deepley involved in the music scene.
Boz was also in the Shillelagh Sister in Lyn's band that are Amazing. They totaly rock.

I don't know the significance of this signing. Do they pay him whether he writes music or not? or he now must write whatever they ask?

April 22nd - Boz & The Boz -Men hit Green Bay Wisconsin on Wednesday 13th April 2005, this is the 2nd festival at The Oneida Raddisson hotel and it lasted 6 days with tons of great bands, old & new.
 
This event is held on an Indian Reservation in the middle of no-where and is organized by a great bunch of people of which there are to many to mention but I will have to put Marc & Melissa Mencher and their partner Phil from Green Bay up there at the top.
 
The festival is in a casino and is attended by Rockin' Folk from all over the world.
 
The first night Slim Jim (Stray Cats) asked us if we wanted to do a jam session at his gig which was held every night between 8pm & 12pm in the Casino bar. Boz,Deano & myself (Lyn) jammed through a couple of numbers which was a lotta fun.
         
After a quick run through on Thursday evening we got ready & the stage time for us was 1:30 am we played the big main hall. Boz & myself were joined by Dean (Kid Rocker Micetitch), Deano (Mozzer band) Butterworth and a great old friend Mr Lloyd Tripp of Zip-Guns fame.
 
The Boz-Men were ready & our old buddy Big Sandy introduced us to the crowd, 2 songs in the room was full and the crowd was buzzing.
 
It was great to see so many old friends and new ones too in the audience, they loved it and so did we. Our set was a very loud kind of British Rockabilly and we were helped along with our sound by Mr Ryan (Merle Haggards sound guy) who did a great job. I like to say thanks to all the gang that attended we had a ball ya'll, Cheers!!
 
Between the main acts in the big hall Boz DJ'd Friday and Saturday nights, mostly delving into his collection of original 45s hauled over for this purpose.
       
Saturday night Boz played in the Ronnie Dawson Tribute band with Eddie Angel & Jarko on Guitars, the great Lisa. P. on drums & the boys from High Noon..... various other musicians got up including myself to celebrate the life of our great & sadly missed Ronnie Dawson, I'm sure he would have approved.......

I thought Morrissey wrote all the music! Why would Sanctuary want Boz? Morrissey is get the screw-job here! He deserves that money!

This is an awful lot of fuss over someone who pretty much does nothing but play rhythm guitar for Morrissey.

Admittedly, if you watch Boz play, he does strum like a wild man but that's not that hard to do.

Boz has some talent, he wouldn't have gotten as far as he did if he had none but if I were listing "best guitarists ever" it would be a long long long long long long long long long long long long time before I put his name down.

I know alot of talk has been about replacing his band but this just goes to show what a sweet deal Moz has with his guys. All of his guys contribute lyrically aside from musically. And while most would say (myself included) the quality of music was better with the Smiths, Moz seems to be in a more comfortable situation. He's been with his guys longer, they appear to understand him better, and he just seems happier. This is part of the reason why it would be a huge blow to the band if Alain was gone for good. Hopefully all works out. Way to go Boz.

I absulutely love Boz, I think he is the best thing to happen since Marr, I hope this is a good thing. It's hard for me to interpet if this a good deal for the band "Morrissey", or not.

I remember reading stories about Mozz standing in Johnny Marr's kitchen saying, "that's it! that's the song!" (or something along those lines). I've often wondered, though, how Boz and Whyte (the greasy nitwit) go about writing with him. Are they that close? Do they all stand around in each others' kitchens, drinking tea (with the taste of the Thames) and recognizing classic riffs when they hear them?

I know the guy who fixe's boz's trousers every time the waist band burst and he has the inside picure on how the songwriting process works. Moz, Boz, Fez, Des, Alan and a ferret called Gus stand at oipposite ends of a large room squealing at each other, much like any pretentious drama school workshop. FInally Moz puts his arms in the air and shouts "Let us end this madness and make the sandwiches" Boz normally does this. They then pick up the geetars and lash out dem classic tunes. No Boz - no sandwiches. No sandwiches - No Moz. That should make it clearer for your all but Moz is releasing a single next week called 'Is there cucumber in this, dearie?' which will explain everything. Make mine with Mustard, Moz ya big wuss!

I forget which video it is, My Love Life, maybe, where Morrissey is driving around in a Rolls with the band in the car looking at the old run down motels, and Boz is sitting in the middle in the back, on the hump seat.

Maybe now he will get to ride up front, maybe in the middle, snuggling close to Morrissey.

i'm not one to question boz's musicianship, but am i the only one to think that he may have taken the song "your the one for me, fatty" a little too seriously?

Could it be that Alain has decided to do soemthing with his Morrissey co-writes that has angered camp Moz? Why has Boz signed this deal now of all times?

I've just been watching the Move DVD and little barry's guita really did add a lot to songs like "There is a light."

Listening to the Earls Court CD, it's obvious ALain's departure has improved their live sound.

On the other hand, who is going to write the songs?

While Alain has written some brilliant songs for Quarry, Boz has himself written some excellent pieces in the past - Now My Heart, Speedway, Teachers and Lifeguard Sleeping, among others.
