I have always found so hard to believe this - in appereance - though and violent guys are so into Mozzer, the guy with a bunch of gladioli in his 501's back pocket in th mid 80's. In Mexico City, The Smiths were so popular amongst the Punkies wannabes around in Museo del Chopo, one of the very few (if not the only) places where genuine people (artist, students, teachers) gather even now.

I for one am disappointed in it.
The music is great but the "assemblage" of the album is very poor I think, if what is being offered on the free play is every bit of what the purchased disc will be.
Dialog after songs is cut off in mid sentence.
Dialog which should be an intro to one track is actually the outro of the previous track.
                    Very poor editing I think.
I, for one, will not purchase this CD if that is the quality that is being put out, and I have every Morrissey album and single that have been put out. Not every incarnation of each, but his complete works, so it's not like I am not a fan of his.
I think this is a bad representation of his work.
I think that some of the "unofficial" bootlegs are better than this official release.

so going on that... moz could kinda sorta be defined as punk, at least from the alienation and anger standpoint. personally, as a teenage smiths fan in the 80's, i never considered the smiths or myself punk. the punks at my school were listening to bands like black flag, circle jerks and dead kennedys. we were considered to be the new wave kids. i will say that back in the 80's we seemed to get along much better with each other than kids do today. everything wasn't quite as "exclusive" as it seems today (fuck i sound old!). the only social group we could all agree to hate were the filthy fucking skin heads. so, is moz punk? probably not, at least from my perspective. but hey, that's only one mans opinion...
