Amazon.co.uk has picture of the Redondo Beach/There Is A Light DVD front cover.

It all looks very forgiving...

By the very nature of me accessing this site every few hours, i am clearly a huge moz fan but.......... after looking at the track listing for the new single i noticed that it includes 'Its Hard to walk tall when your small' which has already been released as a b-side. And if he is making There is a light.an a-side then that is just cheap

I remember Rodondo Beach being a great track, well worthy of an a-side, but doesn't anyone else out there think it is just pathetic to re-release a b-side, or a live version of an old smiths track. He writes such great songs, but keep them coming NEW and UNRELEASED please, not old and rehashed/well worn

Quite a lot I suspect, and not a new song to be found on any of them!!

wouldve been to juste simply release the last Jancie Long session as a single:

          Redondo Beach
          Noise Is The Best Revenge
It's Hard To Walk Tall When You're Small

thats a perfect single right there- two new songs, one new cover and the only ever live performance of "It's Hard To Walk Tall When You're Small". whatsmore, only one of the tracks, "Redondo Beach", will be appearing on either the new live CD or live DVD due for release this month so thered be little overlap [rather than the pointless inclusion of "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out"].

if Morrissey wanted to release a new single, but he didnt want to do any work this wouldve been the perfect, lazy solution.

I hope Moz avoids being so overtly commercial with his next album.

I think it's a great idea to publicise There is a Light because it's a song lots of people know and lots of casual fans would buy it as a single without ever buying a Smiths or Morrissey album. So it has a chance to get in the top 3. It could definitely raise his profile still further before the next album and autobiography.

I hope he stops releasing singles in about 5 formats soon though - it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth from one so knowingly tasteful.

          Another horrific cover (Score:0)
I'm sorry but that cover looks like it's had 2 full minutes of effort put into it. As a forward thinking Moz fan I don't normally like groaning on about how things were better in "the good old days" but surely his earlier artwork is far superior to the ones we've been getting lately? Let Me Kiss You was quite good, but awful font. As for the font on the new single release OH MY GIDDY AUNT. It's horrible, horrific... an obvious Paint Shop Pro job, can't Moz put a bit of effort into his sleeves like he used to?

The last really good cover was "Roy's Keen" (pity about the record) and we've had nothing but half-arsed efforts since then. Either bring back Jo Slee or pull the finger out yourself Moz. The music is great these days but the artwork (an essential part of the overall "record" experience) sucks. A good start would be to ditch the yucky fonts and get some sort of consistent "Morrissey" logo. The one from Maladjusted was perfect IMO.
