Damien Dempsey sets the record straight

In an interview with C4 text page Planet Sound (Pg 350) Damien talks about his 'problems' with Morrissey:

There were stories that Morrissey had thrown Damien Dempsey off his US tour because he wouldn't stop talking about eating juicy steaks.

"Oh jeez, that was a JOKE," says Damien. "We were in this place in the States famous for steaks so I mentioned it and Morrissey came up and jokingly put his hands round my throat. We were just having a laugh. See that's what people don't realise - Morrissey is a real funny guy."

Looks like my story got around.
