Renton website on Morrissey photo session with Giles Bainbridge

Renton has spawned a Mozzer
  "Yes, yes, shake, shake"

When legendary British photographer Giles Bainbridge was booked to take piccies of Morrissey at a studio in Redondo Beach, California - the snapper was playing none other than Renton's "Thumbprint EP" in an effort to motivate the bequiffed Mancunian recluse. According to Bainbridge, "Mozzer seemed intrigued by some of the band's song titles and muttered something about the New York Dolls before retreating into his normal reserve". He added, "you should have seen the look on Moz's face before I put Renton's CD on. The photo above is about as animated as he gets and that was thanks to Aerosol being piped in the background". The former Smiths' singer endured Renton, the Best of Dusty Springfield and a Sandy Shaw compilation on regular rotation for the duration of the session. On a separate note, Bainbridge added that "Mozzer only seems to eat eggs and chips". Oh, and last but not least, Giles Bainbridge will be lending his ample snapping skills to the Rentonian cause next week. A location shot in of all places - Morecombe!

    I`ve always wondered if Moz was a vegan as well as a veggy. Guess this answer's that question.
