    I must be getting old, because I have never heard of this. Based upon the picture, I am assuming it is some dude with a camera and too much time on his hands. Am I close?

    McGinley is a *photographer*, not a photo-realist (Score:1)
    His images are captured by a camera, not in paintings and he's actually quite famous for this. Can we correct the title now? It'd be a shame for hoardes of Morrissey fans to run around misusing the term "photo-realist".

    I don't recognize the image as a known Smiths t-shirt. If it were a painting, it would sort of make sense, but since it has now been identified as a paining, it doesn't quite make sense that it is not any known t-shirt. Any clues?

      Ryan McGinley to publish photo book on Morrissey! (Score:0)
      Ryan is a photographer from NY, the youngest to have a solo show at the Whitney Museum.

      He just came in from touring with Morrissey and will be publishing a book of photos from the tour within the coming months...
