    I registered at the site but it still won't let me read the article.

    I don't know if this is one of those trade type sites where you have to also subscribe to a "paper" issue.

    Whatever the case, I wasn't able to read the article.

      Stephen Street (Score:1, Insightful)
      Morrissey's biggest mistake in his solo career was pissing off Stephen Street. Stephen Street is the best producer for Morrissey's style and its a shame they had a falling out.

      I don't think of Morrissey or the Smiths as particularly producer dependent. It would be fun to know what instrument produces the Lovely Rita noise in Frankly Mr. Shankly but ehhhh....
