First, let me tell you who didn't rank as my top 100 people of 2004: Ashlee Simpson, Paris Hilton, Jude Law and the cast of Ocean's Twelve. Confused? Each year, when compiling this humongous column, I ask myself which pop-culture figures affected me the most during the past 12 months.     This list includes a good variance of celebrities and musical talent. I am very happy to see our Man at the top! In my opinion, this has definitely been a great year for Moz!

      Moz of course at # 4 and very well deserved. As well as her other choices, she had some real good picks, The Cure, Bjork, Johnny Depp, Rodney Dangerfield, Joey Ramone, The Beasties, Michael Moore, etc...

        It was a long time coming, but 2004 was definitely welcome for Morrissey and the fans that have stuck with him through the years (Solo - '88). I would buy any Morrissey cd he put out whether it was really that great or not, but having had enough time to let "You Are The Quarry" set in, it truly is a great cd. The best since "Your Arsenal" for this Morrissey fan.

          "If only that Smiths reunion had panned out, he could probably take over Kurt Loder's job — and the world."
          I believe there was something in that episode about The Smiths reunion being the holy grail for the network.

              moz has been given the proper recognition on one of these many end of the year lists. he placed decently on a few others, but #4 out of 100 in usa today is outstanding. way to go moz!
