The Decemberists are one of my favorite bands and I highly recommend catching these shows- Colin should be wonderful as a solo artist! He did a ripping solo version of the Modern Lovers' "Roadrunner" as an encore at a Decemberists show in Philly this past year. I look forward to hearing his interpretation of the Morrissey rarities, which should be a treat as well.

Colin Meloy, singer and songwriter for the band, will be heading out on a short, 9-date national tour in which he will be playing songs, Decemberist and otherwise, solo in intimate theaters and clubs in metropolitan areas all over the U.S. For this event, he's in the process of recording a tour-only EP of Morrissey rarities covers. To
be entitled "Colin Meloy Sings. . . Morrissey," no less.
