Word magazine (Dec. 2004) - Morrissey "Man Of The Year" cover / interview, out now
posted by davidt on Tuesday December 07 2004, @09:00AM

Jim Royle writes:

The new issue of Word magazine features Moz on the cover, with the byline "Morrissey is our Man Of The Year". There's a six page feaute by Stuart Maconie, and some nice photos of our boy sporting a surprisingly fetching side parting, and looking rather distinguished, all told.

Stuart Macaroni has been on good terms with Moz since the early years interviewing him for NME, Q et cetera.
He reviewed Quarry in the recent Q/Mojo Moz/Smiths thing and, although no mark out of 10 was awarded, it read like a 7 or 8.

Most of the photos are of live appearances this year. There is a nice one of Morrissey putting on a light blue satin jacket, but that's the only one. Oh and there's that picture of Father Moz lined up with the nuns.

I felt very deflated after I read it. Morrissey does mention a few times though how much he loves doing gigs and talks about his fans loving him - and he thinks he knows why.
