Reminder:

MEN Concert To Be Aired On VH2:
Morrissey's amazing homecoming concert at Manchester's MEN Arena will be broadcast on music TV station VH2 on Friday 3rd December at 7pm and again at Midnight. It will also be shown on MTV2 at 9pm on Sunday 5th December.

                    Well I can go to bed safe in the knowledge that Birmingham is just a week or so away, Fantstic and the songs that were missed out.....well hopefully they will be on a full length official release with backstage footage as I believe there was some taken!

                      Just saw the VH2 brodcast - great gig - wish I'd been there. I hope it does come out on DVD as I'd love a quality copy.

                      I believe Morrissey is appearing on the Frank Skinner show in the UK on Dec 9th. Does anyone knoe if he's just playing or is being interviewed by the baggy-faced funny man?

                          It was not the complete concert with about five songs missing. There was also a lot of between songs banter edited out. It was actually called "Who put the M in Manchester", which I think is the title that's been mentioned for an official DVD release?(anyone?). It was a Sanctuary production and they may have only allowed VH2 to show this edited cut if a DVD release is planned. It's my guess that we'll see the full version in the shops in the new year. It's a shame it's not in the shops for xmas considering how well the album has sold. The footage from the gig is the best I've seen. Okay, the competition is mediocre, but it's professionally filmed and the sound is superb. If you haven't seen it yet then you're in for a treat.

                          speaking as someone who don't just tediously say everything moz ever does is fantastic whether it really is or not, watching this on vh2 i just see morrissey doing a vapid stadium gig which is both lifeless and boring. he really really doesn't look the part anymore, and neither do his band...though it's pretty funny to watch boz being relegated to chord duty on every song. haha!

                          I was there and I feel again the same impression seeing it on tv, even if some songs are missing. The concert was great but I really felt a lot of emotion only during There is a light that never goes out. That was the big thing in this concert. Haunting minutes.
