The Smiths fail to win C4 'Hall of Fame'. Winner for the 1980's category was Michael Jackson. Does anyone know how many votes the Smiths got?

and Robbie bloody Williams won the 90s ahead of Radiohead.

The Stones beat hendrix, and Queen won the 1970s. Sir Cliff stole the 50s vote ahead of Buddy Holly. Well, that's what happens when you let the Sunday evening TV audience decide on something like this - they vote for the singer whose eyes they like most/the one they liked best on Parkey.

I'm not too angry about The Smiths losing out to Michael Jackson - obviously I wanted them to win, but I can't think of anybody else I'd rather have beat them. Jackson may be fiddling kids nowadays, but he did some cracking albums in his prime.

Robbie Williams and Cliff Richard winning for their decades is a fucking travesty.

I'm just surprised that James Brown didn't rank. He has FAR more influence over current music than the Rolling Stones ever did. Half of hip-hop wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for him. Funky Drummer, anyone?

And why were the Spice Girls even nominated?
