Straight from Morrissey's camp: "Make up show will go on rain or shine!"

This morning Jed from Morrissey's camp came on the air at KROQ in L.A. and confirmed that the make up show for the Inland Invasion is still on and happening rain or shine. He went on to say that Morrissey feels really bad for the Texas fans but he really wants to do the make up show on Sunday. He also said that the show will be "amazing".

So, I take it another band is waiting for the red phone to ring at 11am Sunday Morning when Morrissey calls in to say he has to have his appendix removed and possibly his spleen. Maybe KROQ scored Depeche Mode! or perhaps some other moody english rocker...Jarvis Cocker? That rhymed!

          'fucks opening though? or it is gonna be a 1.15hr show?.....should I make 1hr 15min drive from West Hollywood? I have a better chance of running into him that same night after his shoe at Coach N Horses!

            If what the Morrissey camp says is true, then he is singing on Sunday despite the need to heal his voice. Understandable, I suppose, considering how bad it would be to cancel a make up show, but...

            1. This "vocal cord" business had better not be a lie, and...
            2. Why are there no plans for make up shows in Texas? This all seems very disrespectful to TX and preferential towards CA.

                              I have a friend who lives in Texas, and he was absolutely gutted when Moz cancelled Fort Worth. He had also planned on going to Austin, but that show was cancelled as well. I *know* our Mozzer is a fickle Gemini, as I am, so I sort of see where he's coming from haha :) But, I do wish he had shown more consideration for his fans in Texas. I realize he received death threats for comments made in Fort Worth, and probably wanted to flee the Lone Star State. Or it could have been his strained vocal cords. Hope you feel better, Mozzer :) Drink some tea with lots of honey, it works.

                                  Well, the sound is great (I've been there) and who cares about obnoxious kids if you're there to see Moz!!! Virgin margaritas? That sounds Gay! Tail-gate like everyone else to save $$ and the show is going to KICK - ASS!!

                                    The sound is great there! Especially if you have pit tickets like me. I promise you there will be no kids in the pit. Also the show will be over at 7:30, which means we will have plenty of time to go party hopping afterwards.
