Houston concert tonight cancelled, Austin uncertain

I have called both venues... He is sick again. Houston is cancelled for sure. Friends of mine have already left their places in line at the venue due to signs being posted there. I spoke to someone at the Backyard earlier today and they said it was cancelled in Austin... I talked to someone else now and she stated that it was not cancelled. She did not seem very sure though.

I've checked out ticketmaster and they are still selling tickets for Houston. Yet the venue is telling people the show is cancelled. Clear Channel hasn't made any statements yet.

Noone on this site should try to make excuses for Morrissey. Morrissey probably believes that if he goes to Houston, a Bush rally will break out at his concert. It is really sad, because a lot of people (at least that I know) are coming out to see Morrissey for the first time. Some are even listening to him again for the first time in 10-15 years. This is the second show that I have had tickets for that will be cancelled in the last 5 years (The Las Vegas show was the other). It appears that tomorrow in Austin will be the third show that I have had tickets for that will be cancelled. Oh well, at least I live in Houston and did not have to travel.

I'm not sure what to make of it, but if mozz is sick the i hope he gets better.
Maybe in the new year he will re-schedule? Or maybe i'm just wishing too hard.
