I found something while searching for Linder Sterling / Meltdown reviews.... it mentions a DVD that Morrissey is working on called "Who Put The M in Manchester?".

Linder Sterling biography - British Council-Czech Republic

In May 2004, Linder worked with video director, Bucky Fukamoto, to film documentary footage for Morrissey’s forthcoming DVD release - ‘Who Put The M in Manchester?’

But does Linder really warrant any attention whatsoever? Outside of Moz devotees, who really gives a drop of piss who she is?
    Let's be honest.

Interesting story and lends weight to the argument that a DVD is thankfully innevitable. The set-up at the MEN gig (7 or so cameras) was always designed to be more than a video shoot for First Of The Gang, and this Linder story suggests it will contain more than just the concert.

'Who Put The M In Manchester'? Who put the A in Awful Title? But lets not worry about that - I'd like to think we're all in for a big DVD event soon. Christmas?

As for Linder, are she and James Maker the only of Morrissey's friends to have 'gone the distance' without getting bumped off or are there others?

I've always loved Linder. Ludus played without rules and took chances. No matter what you think of the music they added danger and excitement to the scene. Bravo.

Morrissey has always had such good taste in music (The Monochrome Set, Jobriath, Ludus etc). I wonder if there has ever been a posting on this site where people can add bands or artists they have heard some mention of Morrissey appreciating. That would be a great thing. I know Under The Influence would give us a head start but it's hardly the bulk of it.
