Local Glasgow rag The Daily Record has announced today that Morrissey will be playing the SECC this December. Tickets go on sale this Saturday 25 September @ 09:30 hrs. The article has some inaccuracies in it so here's hoping this in't one.

Tickets for The Point (Dublin) went on sale today without ever being mentioned on the official site - it was widely announced on radio, reported by HotPress, advertised on TicketMaster's site etc. As people have mentioned, waiting for an announcement on the official site isn't very prudent if the tickets are going on sale this Saturday.

It is a big barn of a place, run by nazzis and the sound at best is just perfect for a visit from the ringling brothers or the wiggles or status quo. It would be ideal for a computer show, the red hot chilli peppers or some mental worldwide needlework exhibition (something meaningless) in other words..the arena is good for morrizza but bad for us. Agreed that charming little dancehall and firetrap we all know and love called the barrowlands is far better, but how are moz's people to know which venue is good to play at. I suppose they don't. I guess he just didn;t hear those 2,000 people shouting nooo! at eddynbura!
