If the few negative posters around here even tried to look beyond the fact that this young man is NOT Morrissey, they might see he is very talented.

I found his guitar work to be really nice and his voice to have a hauting quality to it. Some parts sound very much like Ride and to some degree, My Bloody Valentine.

At 16, i was just discovering really good music and finding ways to ditch school. I would be interested to know what others who frequent this site were up to, especially those with negative comments. I cant imagine very many of us were recording quality tunes and having the balls to put them before the public.

              I'm filled with nostalgia.

Not too long ago I was a fifteen-year-old singer/songwriter with a head full of Morrissey and and a fretboard full of Marr. I wrote songs in a very similar vein to these and would defend their originality to the death. It's funny to listen to some of the demos I made now.

Original or not, the important thing is that this young fellow is trying his damndest to write something that sticks up a sturdy middle finger to the chart music around today (just as Messrs Marr and Morrissey did back in the heady days of the early 80s), without going down the plastic-fantastic, oh-so-dull, Blink (and you'll miss them) 182 route.

If he's as prolific and as determined in 5 years time as he is now, he'll no doubt have developed his own voice and we may be blessed with something like a www.dean-solo.com to wile away our fruitless hours upon.

He is, thankfully, still blessed with the priceless gift of youth, something I imagine the bitter voices on this site frittered away a long time ago.
