Christ, it could have been Jerry from Ben and Jerry's for that matter. Why would this even be posted, as no one will believe a word that is said without some foundation of evidence. Well, I'm sorry, but I guess some will believe it. But then again, those same people will believe all sorts of of statements that border on idiocy.

I guess I was very fortunate to have seen The Smiths. In 1984 I was working at Licorice Pizza record store and since we could only listen to new
releases at the store I was condemned to Purple Rain and Hatful of Hollow. I hated Morrissey's voice at 1st but then it grew & grew on me(I told him that personaly when I met him in 1998,He was a great sport about that). Oh, I still hate Purple Rain. Anyhow they came around in 1985 to the Hollywood Palladium. The sound was Immaculate and they had the manic feeling of a Punk Band.
The crowd was objective and had to be won over and they were. They were viewed as a band no worship of Morrissey yet. How I miss that.
True greatness burns so brightly and only for a second and everyone longs for it to burn again. But an Era cannot be repeated. My Peers in 1984 were longing for they day of Jimi Hendrix,Doors, Beatles I was into what was NOW. Don't let the NOW pass you by like they did. Something new is probably happening right under your nose right now !
