Morrissey has appeared in this month's Mojo magazine, in the feature known as "All Back To My Place", in which three artists are asked to choose their favourite records.

Morrissey's choices were as follows:

What music are you currently grooving to?: Damien Dempsey, 'Seize The Day'. "He has the most stunning voice in the universe".

What is your all-time favourite album?: The New York Dolls debut album. "I think it still has no competition as the most perfect piece of pop presentation".

What was the first record you bought, and where did you buy it?: 'Come And Stay With Me' 7" single. " I bought it in a shop in Moss Side called Paul Marsh. I didn't understand what she was singing, but I lost myself to it".

Which musician, other than yourself, have you ever wanted to be?: "I'm not a musician. I've never wanted to be a musician. Never ever. It's a totally demoralising occupation, so the answer has to be....no one".

What do you sing in the shower?: (Very long pause)... "That's a very tricky question....(long pause)... A very trick question, because I sing absolutely everything... (long pause)... 'Ave Maria'".

What is your favourite Saturday night record?: 'Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy' by The Tams.

And your Sunday morning record?: 'Death' by Klaus Nomi...(thinks), or 'Lazy Sunday' by The Small Faces.

he sounds like Billy Bragg with an Irish accent, but even more tone-deaf and tuneless!

He's nothing if not consistent in his choices (Score:1)
He selected 'Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy' and 'Death' in 1984 for "My Top Ten". 20 years on and he's found nothing better. Who could?

It seems that he was very straightforward in his answers to the questions - no sign really that he was being at all difficult....for a change.

Is this all that was in Mojo for this feature or do I have to buy it? Anyone know?

        A little bit more... (Score:1)
There was an extra comment Moz made in this article that the person who posted it didn't write, which made me laugh- when asked the "what record are you currently grooving to?" question he said "well I don't groove under any circumstances, but I feel very charged by Damien Dempsy... etc".
So it's official- Morrissey doesn't 'groove'. I though as much...

What the above contributor writes is true, there is nothing else, other than the photo that accompanied the article, on Morrissey in the magazine.

I also forgot to put that it was Marrianne Faithful that recorded the single "Come And Stay With Me", but I'm guessing most Morrissey fans knew that anyway.
