I just saw it on the arte news:

One of Morrissey's favourite singers Sacha Distel died yesterday aged 71. He once had a relationship with Brigitte Bardot. Morrissey tried to get him for his Meltdown Festival.

WTF - Are you drunk or on drugs???

Morrissey's favourite singers are people like Sandy Shaw, Mary Margaret O'Hara, The New York Dolls, The Sparks, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Patti Smith, Klaus Nomi and Diana Dors.

I don't recall him ever mentioning some saatch & saatchi ponce & I've followed him religiously since The Smiths.

            BLOODY YANKS!

Well that extremely charming man to me just exuded kindness, charm, simplicity. I know there's a darker side to everyone but he seemed so likeable, I feel that's what he mostly was, you know.
I heard some stupid journalist imply in his comments he was some kind of Sinatra of the poor...
                  Well.
What can I say ... LOL. We don't see the world with quite the same eyes!
All I know is that noone in the Sinatra family ever made anyone in my family smile, or feel happy.
                  Whereas Sacha could do that.
And that's all I need to know.
