"You Are The Quarry" advert on ITV

Did anyone else see the advert for YATQ on ITV in a break in last night's episode of "The Bill"? I'd gone to the kitchen but rushed back in when I heard "Irish Blood, English Heart". Don't know if they showed a clip of the video, but they also showed some live footage of "First of the Gang to Die". "The Bill" is quite a mainstream show (a police soap if you don't know), so it seems an interesting audience to which to push the album. Maybe they're hoping the coffee table brigade will go for something more revolutionary than Dido and Coldplay?

I saw that - its been on a few times now - quite a good production and includes footage that wasn't on the single - well mixed, really good quality film - kinda makes me hopefull that its all being assembled for a full concert release.

I didn't watch the Bill - its all a bit silly these days - I mean - poor Tucker as a Phsycho-rapist and Gina Gold pulling good looking fellas - as if.

I have seen the ads on MTV2 but hadn't realised that they had made it on to 'proper telly'.

There were radio ads for the latest single on virgin and xfm too.

      Never were there such times!

        That sleeve ... (Score:1)
I thought the most interesting thing about the ad was that at the end, it shows the "no-gun" sleeve rather than the full-photo UK one. Perhaps the Advertising Standards Authority wouldn't have allowed it otherwise? But it still seems a bit odd in the middle of a programme in which people get shot or held up every week!!

Can anyone confirm whether the cropped sleeve is actually available in the UK? I did read at the time that both sleeves were doing to be used (depending on the shop selling it), but I've never ever seen a non-gun one.

Quite a few of my Dido and Coldplay owning friends have taken the plunge with YATQ. I get the feeling Moz might be just on the verge of cofeee-table acceptance. Adverts during the Bill can only help with this!

YATQ has been promoted mercilessly. I really hope it's selling well enough to justify the effort.
