Having glanced through the NME, they have devoted a full page to the Morrissey performance, describing it in glowing terms as a full scale rehabilitation and one of the absolute highlights of the festival weekend. "Forget Macca, forget... Glastonbury was about the return of the dour grey miserabilist, known as Morrissey"
They praised "Let me kiss you" calling it devastating, puzzlingly, and "everyday is like sunday" "First of the gang" "IBEH" and a "frankly astonishing" there is a light - but the real moment of the performance was during "I Know It's Gonna Happen someday" when Morrissey went down on one knee staring up at his name in lights, "happy to be back where he belongs"
There was a photo of Morrissey wearing his jacket with the caption "comeback of the year"
One or two facts might be out, but this is basically what is said in the review.
A relative of mine who attended Glastonbury told me "everyone was talking about Morrissey" - "a lot of people missed him because of the rain and they all wished they'd gone to see him." Once again, it looks like his fans on this site have failed to be impressed by what bowls over the rest of the world!
