well said at the end there broken. the rest of the world, those outside of the morrissey-solo world, seem to be enjoying the album and shows. people here have a tendency to really go over every detail with a fine toothed comb. i guess that is part of being a utterly devoted fan but it usually goes too far. a great example is the fuss over the fotgtd single cover. everyone bitching and criticizing but they will certainly be the first of the gang to purchase. remember people, there is a whole world outside these walls

Of course, not even Morrissey`s most ardent fan would risk getting their hair wet for him. Heaven`s above. Of course NME are going to say he was the best there, their reputation is at stake. It`s called `The Media` and `having an angle`. I still think from what I saw, it was crap. I expect more from someone who`s been in the pop business for over 20 years. I still wait to be astounded. Does anybody have footage of this performance transferred to MPEG? Even the slightest bit would be appreciated (actually, at least 30 seconds-anything less would be agitating). Perhaps someone can post a link to a site that does as I'm admittedly a lazy surfer. Still wrecked that there has been nothing mentioned in regards to gigging North America.

I don't think it rained during Moz - the sun came out during Supergrass and it stayed dry until Muse finished smashing their instruments up.

This doesn't follow. The songs you refer to are indeed either very good or great ones. But only a couple are from his latest album. Most are quite a bit older. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out is old enough to vote. I went to see Morrissey last year and it was fantastic. He has made some wonderful records and is my favourite music artist. That said, I don't think his new album is very good.

If people get into Morrissey or the Smiths via the new album, then that's very good news and they have lots of treats in store. But I think a number of people who are Smiths and Morrissey fans find the latest album a disappointment. I know I do. Morrissey deserves a big hit with 'First of the Gang' - shame that everything else on the album pales so much beside it.
