Not sure about the song.. the one minute clip shows the song to be perhaps a bit too obvious in what the message is. I like the more ambigous stuff which leads to 50 different interpreations of the song.

Listening to the clips, it sounds like the best songs of the YATQ sessions all ended up on the album.

Maybe the other two minutes of the new B-sides will prove me wrong.

            quality of b-sides (Score:1)
isn't the b-side "It's hard to walk tall when you're small" a great song!? Most of the tracks on the new album, though great, are mid-tempo while this track is a classic moz rocker. I bought the 1st single at the same time as the album and found this b-side to be one of my favorite of the new songs. I always put it on when getting ready to go out whether dressed in
            disciplined style...nevermind

              maladjusted b-sides (Score:1)
speaking on b-sides- am i the only one who thought that the maladjusted album would have been bolstered with the inclusion of one of the great b-sides such as "i can have both", "now i am a was" or "the edges are no longer parallel" in place of a few of the weaker album tracks? Moz is one of the only artists i can think of who releases b-sides/singles just as good if not better than his album tracks, i.e. "swallow on my neck", "boxers", "interlude". This seems especially true with the maladjusted & southpaw grammer years when our hero was derided in certain unappreciative quarters for releasing sub-standard (though for moz better than most) material.

I have already posted similar comments, so I'm not gonna bother going into explainitory details.

Irish Blood, English Heart EP is the the true successor to Maladjusted. Time will tell if First Of The Gang To Die EP will be as excellent.

P.S. yes, the Maladjusted B-sides were better than the actual LP as well!
