It is such a shame that YATQ hasn't made the number 1 slot...it deserves to surely?

For me it is Morrisseys most accessible album..."Irish blood..." has been a massive hit (3 weeks on the chart without playlist recognition is a tremdous achievement) and the album contains several "listener friendly" tracks, not least of which is the superb "First of the gang..."

A little more radio play would surely have seen him clinch the number 1 slot this week...last week was always going to be difficult because of Keanes album...a band riding high on the wave of no new Coldplay withdrawal symptoms fromthe middle class student population.

Still...number 2 and more sales than "Vauxhall & I" is not to be scoffed at.

    Well done Moz.

      Not bad considering... (Score:1)
It's probably the first time a Morrissey album has stayed in the top ten for two weeks since Viva Hate. I don't think Vauxhall managed that as it only stayed in the charts for 5 weeks. Also no. 33 is pretty damn good for IBEH, after 3 weeks it's still in a higher position than his last single "Satan Rejected My Soul" managed.

Such a great single should refresh the interest...

It's not bad in it's second week... (Score:1)
Assuming all us diehard Moz fans went out and bought the album in the first week, this means that a significant number of people who aren't 'fans' are still buying it. That's got to be good news. It must have already sold at least four times as many as Maladjusted.
