MAY SPAWNS 2 DVDS (link)
And we have 'Suedehead' video here. Bonus. WATCH!
28 May 2004

This Monday 31st May you will be able to get your big fey mits on not one but TWO Morrissey video titles being released for the first time ever on DVD.

"Hulmerist" was originally released on VHS in 1990 - it has been digitally remastered, visually enhanced, and it includes four top ten singles, spreading from 1988 to 1990. They were the first seven videos he made following his split with The Smiths. The DVD is interspersed with live footage from his legendary Wolverhampton Civic Hall gig in 1988.

"The Malady Lingers On" has been restored and ponced up, it features vids from the early 90's including 'You're The One For Me Fatty' (surely two songs within one song) and the rockerbillytastic 'Certain People I Know'.

Just to prove how ace Morrissey is, we've got Suedehead here, which features Morrissey nude in a bath (ooh er), and driving a tractor (ooh arr):

Has there been any word on a North American release for these? I have an all-region dvd player, but would rather not pay import prices if I don't have to--particularly since most of the material is on Oye Esteban!

(p.s. the caps filter is ironically named as a "lameness filter," since it's pretty lame itself, equating the abbreviateion United States and an all-cap spelling of dvd as yelling. Thats five capitals total. Pain in the ass.)

      How truly, truly, truly disappointing......
Taking absolutely no advantage of the DVD format -
no extras, no subtitles, no commentary from Moz!
'Our Frank' remains officially unreleased in giddy England, and 'Seasick...' is only available on the decidedly anglo-phobic 'Oye Estaban'.
Yet again Morrissey's back catalogue has been given a swift spit and polish and presented to the masses.....another opportunity wasted.
