YATQ debuts at #37 in Canada

According to the latest Nielson Soundscan 'You Are the Quarry' debuted at Number 37 in the Dominion of Canada (Number 12 on the Alternative chart, for what its worth). 'Irish Blood, English Heart' is fairing much better - Number 10 this week, Number 7 last week. A bit strange this, in Canada the single is available only as an import - meaning it's not cheap and a bit hard to track down.

My town is so pathetic. Its not the biggest but at 60k people you would think I could find the bloody album. Walmart, Zellars, Future Shop and 2 smaller cd stores all do not have his album. Worst yet is that nobody working at any of these places had ever heard of Morrissey. IDIOTS. I finally found it at the last CD store I checked. 1 bloody copy at an insanly high price. And people wonder why nobody buys CDs anymore.. I did see 5000 copies of Avril Lavigne. Good grief.

        no difficulty here. (Score:1)
in Barrie [an hour north of Toronto] finding the album was no problem. some stores had high prices- MusicWorld only had the cd/dvd package [one unit] for 34$CAD!- but every store had it. got mine at SunriseRecords for an astonishing low price of 17.99$CAD for the cd/dvd [they were selling the jewelcase for the same price]. ive only spotted the single at HMV for 7.99$ [one copy at a time, but not too bad ofa price].

the reason Moz is so low on the charts is due to this difficulty to find the album in stores in certain parts of the country. im sure it stacks the shelves most places in Toronto right now though.
