Film Spotlight on 'neglected' Smiths pals. By Carmel Thomason.

As Morrissey prepares for his homecoming gig and celebrates his 45th birthday at the MEN Arena on Saturday, I can reveal that two of his former Smiths bandmates are to make headlines of their own.

Having met the two on one of their DJ stints, I'm looking forward to seeing what this film will show. Yes, Moz and Marr are the big ones, rightly so, but I have always felt the Smiths would not 'be' without this overlooked rhythm section. There's no denying the band's legacy.

..how there are many, many Morrissey fans that apparently were not Smiths fan. And, if they were Smiths fans, how they can bash them on a personal level. Without any real validity, they're just plain immature. Go put on any Smiths record and take a good listen. Yes, Morrissey lives on! Happy Birthday, Morrissey!
