Virgin Radio has confirmed that Morrissey will be appearing on Razorcuts on Sunday 16th May.

The show which goes out between 7pm and 9pm will have Morrissey picking his favourites songs and talking about his life between 9 and 10.

The posting on the Virgin Radio website says:

"Razor Cuts, Sunday 16 May
Graham Coxon plays live in session, plus... A Morrissey Special! Razor Cuts devotes a whole hour to the great man to do, well... basically what the hell he likes. Will he play his new album in its entirety back-to-back?... will he reveal some of his favourite solo or Smiths tracks?... treat us to a taste of some of the new bands he's planning to sign to the Attack label that Sanctuary Records have promised him?... or perhaps preview some of the new tracks he's written for his next-door neighbour Nancy Sinatra. You'll just have to listen in to find out."

Virgin can be heard in the London area on 105.8FM, in the rest of the UK on 1215AM, via satellite or digital radio or on their website at:

  • I have to say, as a bit of a fan of Razor Cuts, this is worth a listen. The DJ Pete Mitchell started out in Manchester in the 80s and seems to be a bit of a Smiths fan. He has certainly been plugging the new stuff a lot.

The show itself has had some great guests and they have picked some really interesting songs. Think an alternative Desert Island Discs or 'Under the Influence' on radio.
