Morrissey finishing autobiography?

Richard Martin writes:

This is only a rumour, but on the late-night radio 2 program last night, they were discussing new releases over the next few months, and of course, 'You are the Quarry' got a mention, then Janice Long mentioned she had heard that Morrissey was apparently putting a finishing touch to an autobiography. This reminded me of his 2002 Janice Long interview when he said that he HAD started it.

If it is indeed happening (goodness, Morrissey-fans are a paranoid bunch), this should be somewhat great. From what I can tell, his views are always worth hearing (even though he's vain and sometimes hypocritical - but charmingly so!), and Moz on Moz will be well worth a read. Plus it'd be a handy thing to carry for signing to any gigs he did post-publishing....which he MUST do....Ooh! Book-signing tour. That's it.
Goodness, I'm getting far too excited. Perhaps I'll lie down.

Although Morrissey's historical revisionist view on his career might be an interesting read, it will have nothing to do with the truth.

Besides that, I don't want to read how miserable his life was or still is. I like his music, but I do not feel sorry for him. He lives in a movie star home and drives a Jag sports car.

He's a long way from Maudlin Street.

i would certainly buy a morrissey autobiography, but never would i take it at face value. you know there's got to be another side to the story. if marr wrote one as well, there would be an ideal double package.
