Morrissey-solo 7 years old tomorrow (Feb. 12)

 I would like to take this opportunity to say a quick thank you to those who submitted stories for the site in the past year and also to the site sponsors who continue to send in monetary support (especially Sweet and Tender Hooligans, Dave from the Manchester Morrissey/Smiths nights and Tony from the Chicago Morrissey/Smiths nights). I respect your time and efforts and it's good to know there are those who respect mine.

          If it was not for this site, I would have never known about Morrissey's tour dates last year. Nor of his magazine features, nor of his documentary. Thank you David, you've kept us in touch with a band who has little publicity.

                              As I spend huge amounts of my time stuck to a computer for professional reasons - I think that I am qualified to say that Morrissey-Solo is one of the VERY few web / fan / forum sites that actually works on any level and provides a trully global touchstone to many fans and is a benchmark that other sites can only dream to achive.

                              Well done David.

                              Pity is not a UK site - then it could have been a national treasure - erm.....rather like Clueless-Joe ( he's really very middle class - you know! )

                                        Who else isn't surprised that this story is at the bottom (7th of 7 stories) in the grouping? I wish I'd kept track of of whether this was the case in previous years; though, I suspect it was.

                                        Through his patient tenacity, his dogged consistency, and his disarming humility, David shows that celebrity--even the minor sort associated with the running of a site dedicated to another celebrity--doesn't have to go to one's head.
