Salford Lads Club, The Angelic Upstarts, & Me (Score:0)
Well, The Salford Lads Club has an absolutely fascinating history and I enjoyed reading about this historical landmark in the link provided.

I am so happy that the building was saved from demolition.

I'll never forget the day I left the Youth Hostel in Manchester to find the club. It was a dreaded sunny day, I was on foot, and was a bit lost but very near the site, when I met three little blonde girls on their bicycles. I still remember how the sunlight danced in their hair. I asked them to point me in the right direction.

One of them said, "it's only for wee kids."

And I replied, "it's only open on weekends?"

They giggled in unison, corrected my hearing, and led the way to the club. I'll never forget those 3 little angelic upstarts. I swear they wore halos on their heads.
