The DFA have interviewed Morrissey for a February/March cover story for Index Magazine. The interview took place at Sarm Hookend Studio in Oxfordshire England, where Morrissey is recording his new LP.

The DFA's website (www.dfarecords.com) says that they conducted the interview w/ Morrissey for Index at Sarm Hookend Studio in Oxfordshire England, where he is recording his album. It should be interesting having the 'dancepunk' kings interviewing Moz.

          why DFA?

I don't know, but Index Magazine seem to like running interviews where the interviewer is also an artist but is an atypical or unexpected fan of the interview subject's work - for example, Will Oldham interviewed Diamanda Galas for them.

DFA Records is a new label started by the NYC production duo James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy- The DFA. James founded the Plantain Recording House and has recorded June of 44, Primal Scream, Six Finger Satellite, Trans Am and many more. Tim is a founding member of U.N.K.L.E. and has remixed groups such as The Verve, Radiohead, Beck, Can, Tortoise, and Massive Attack.
