Awhile back, we had the "Well I Wonder" comic shown here and now we've finished a new one. "William, It Was Really Nothing", is online with a unique interpretation which you might enjoy. And if anyone is interested, there is also a Pulp song "Something Changed" up as well.

They can be found in the Comics section of www.dolefulorange.com.

More to come soon, thank you.

Neither of these is particularly important.

It was a great joy to read, and a truly original interpretation. As with 'Well I wonder' I found it, if anything, too short, so well done. I also like the fact that you always stick to the exact lyrics rather than cutting corners to make it easier.

You'll never have this kind of work exhibited in the Louvre or win any major prizes for it, but with almost everybody on this website you do have a kind of following now I dare say.

            Frankly, we want more!

P.S.: Stretch out and wait? I'd be far more interested in how he would cope with something like 'Some girls are bigger than others'.

I particularly liked the crucifix in William's room. Is William religious? Is William a Roman Catholic? Bravo. Encore. Do more.

The "well i wonder" comic is very poignant; it is almost a biographical depiction of my life. The "william" comic is well drawn, but it seems like a very odd choice given all of the material in the smiths arsenal. I would love to see graphic depictions of "I want the one I can't have," "I know its over," "heaven knows I'm miserable now," "asleep," and so many other ones that could be the inspiration for dark drawings. Looking forward to future creations.

I really tried to bring all I felt from the lyrics of this song: arrogance "I don't dream about anyone...", materialism "...if you like you could buy the ring", and drab modernism "this town will drag you down". All the wonderful qualities I see too often around me. I suppose it seemed natural to me that this arrogant character be an ignored composer/musician with his indifferent chubby girlfriend. And yes, he is Catholic. I wanted to add an element of sprituality in the realistic context. People will always have their own crosses to bear and he had his. I hope some people took the time to look at the other details. I really intended to have them tell the story more than anything (Wagner and Debussy were some interesting personalities).
