One thing I just don't understand. Canadian radio just doesn't seem to care much for this band, even though they're from British Columbia, and are exactly the definition of "hot hot heat" right now in the influential Southern Cal and UK music scenes. Beyond a little airplay for "Bandages", that's all that we heard of them her in Toronto.

I seriously recommend checking them out - they've got a damn good, unique sound. Make Up The Breaksown has to be one of the best albums released in the past year. I didn't realize there was any Morrissey connection at all - but now that I've read this, I like them even more.

I hadn't heard much of Hot Hot Heat until I went to Inland Invasion (and I guess, I have to agree with the previous post, then, that they don't get enough airplay, cause I'm from Canada, and I hadn't heard anything of theirs except for something someone mentioned on TV that the lead guy sounded like Robert Smith).

Let me tell you... Morrissey sounds more like Robert Smith than this guy did. The music was mediocre at best, although the performance was very high energy. Granted, they did have a relatively tough spot on the bill... right before Duran Duran and the Cure... and most people did seem to enjoy them... if you take away the afro and the dancing and the excited keyboard playing, you've got a pretty lame band though.

I'd like to hear Morrissey's reason why he hates "Hot Hot Heat".

A lot of people I know love Hot Hot Heat. I think that a lot of new bands today might be very talented about putting notes together, but for me it will never be as good as listening to music that I wasn't alive to hear made.
Basically, I think music is dead. Except for relics of the old world such as Morrissey.

I went to the Inland Invasion show & this band SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to take a walk because they were so annoying. He must have purchased the "Dance like Bruce Springsteen" DVD. Plus, the dude needs a haircut.
