    Jon Auer's band The Posies was pretty much the only guitar group worth hearing in the '90s. Their album Frosting On The Beater is a terrific bombastic listen, harder than most post-Nirvana rockers, prettier than all the indie janglers.

      Just got home. Saeta did an amazing version of "Last night . . . ." It brought a tear to my eye. I hope we see more of these cover nights in Seattle.
