Morrissey has a cameo In LOTR - report [hoax]
posted by davidt on Wednesday December 04 2002, @09:00AM

Can this be true? Andrew Collins writes:

Hello Morrissey lovers.
I write for Empire magazine and have just seen a preview of The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers, and thought you might like to know that Morrissey has a very brief cameo in the picture as a knight in man's army. Director Peter Jackson is apparently a big fan of The Smiths and also asked Johnny Marr, but he declined. Morrissey accepted because he is a big fan of the book and of Jackson's earlier work. Other famous stars making cameos include Peter Jackson himself and a few other big surprises!

Morrissey puts in a cameo appearance as a hispanic maid in the new Jennifer Lopez movie, "Maid in Manhattan."

For the past few years the Mozzer has been attracting a new latino audience. Among his new fans is Latina triple threat Jennifer Lopez.

J.Lo and fiancee Ben Afflect are both big fans of the morose Brit and insisted he make an appearnce in her film.

After initially rejecting a roll as a bellboy due to scheduling conflicts (the crooner's 2002 world tour) Lopez convinced the pope of mope to make a cameo appearance as a maid.

Also making cameos are: El Vez (as a kitchen chef), Boz Boorer as a limosuine driver and Alain Whyte as a dumb guitarist.

Says Lopez, "I'm just a simple girl from the Bronx but The Queen is Dead is just classic!"

"Maid in Manhattan" opens this Friday in theaters worldwide.
