Re-issued, re-packaged, and we're re-evaluting the songs of our lives.
The 2nd Annual "November Spawned A Monster" has been set for Friday, November 22nd. This is Denver's best Smiths/Morrissey night and it only happens once a year. In addition to DJ's Tim Cook, Tyler Jacobson and Micheal Trundle, we'll also have Smiths and Morrissey inspired art from local area and NY based artists, as well as special "rare" video footage (and some not so rare).

For those of you that are in the Denver area. These 3 Dj's do a great job of including Morrissey and Smiths in their sets, and generally have very pleasing tastes when it comes to everything else. It's a nice club, with a truly diverse crowd, you don't have to worry about fitting in, because no one there does. Last year there was over 250+ and the night was brilliant.

    It's a quality evening.

what are those hipsters doing in denver? (Score:1)
this morrissey night will be musically enjoyable - how can it not be? it is great that these djs are making such a sincere effort to put on a good night. though, the problem lies in denver itself. denver is and insanely average sports driven city, that a morrissey/smiths night is basically wasted upon the crowd. denver is full of mindless hipsters who are more fascinated with combing their hair oddly and being snotty to everyone else than knowing anything about the music, happy to suck up any old david bowie or horrible iggy pop. interested in an example? a dj at the streets of london bar in denver recently tried a knock-off of lipgloss' nice morrissey/smiths night. the advertising flyer for this morrissey night managed to misspell morrissey, cemetry, and keats. most of these scenesters were into gothic 3 years ago, punk 2 years ago, and just last week accidently found a t. rex album. so, while lipgloss' djs are more than worthy to give a nice morrissey/smiths night - don't gag when you watch tendy drunks dirty dancing to the songs that made you cry, and the songs that saved your life. i remember a jock in high school telling me what a wimp i was to listen to morrissey. likewise, i get that same sick feeling when i see my flashy denver 'britpop' peers makeout during 'unloveable' or 'you just haven't earned it yet, baby.'
