YET AGAIN with this interview - the URL's and links don't work... is it really my computer?

I think I owe Dave Fanning an apology - maybe the stature of his guest shocked him into (semi-)coherence - because he wasn't bad at all in the first segment altho' there's one very funny bit IMHO at the end:

(BTW, this qualifies as a short, focused, non-rambling question by what I remember of Fanning's normal interviewing style.)

Dave Fanning: ...like you know you're not alone, I mean like for instance I remember Randy Newman saying something about Bob Dylan, like you know if I was younger looking, better looking, east cost, smoked a bit of dope, didn't come from a middle class/upper class family in LA, you know my albums might be treated the same way Dylan's were, and frankly I think he's got a point.
Morrissey: Well there's too many 'ifs' in that isn't there ?
DF: *laughs*
M: If there was only one 'if' ...
DF: *laughs*
M: ... *then* it would be ok.

Its great to hear moz in interview, hes getting lots of attention lately, this can only mean the odds of him getting the contract will be imense.
I liked the interview, the only thing not so good is he keeps talking about the court case 8(
I wish he talk more about himself and the songs.
I wish he and the others mostly Johnny marr would consider a reunion even if for only one concert, maybe unplugged one. It kinda makes me sad to hear that they fight each other 8(
But i mostly wish a new album 8)

I only caught the last bit "live" this morning so I went back and heard the archive and actually enjoyed listening to the Irish radio commercials almost as much as the interview itself... I couldn't get over how the adverts were so similar to ours here in the U.S.A. but the accents nearly made me fall out of my chair at work... my co-workers were looking on in disbelief "what the hell is so gawddamn funny?" and then I put my headphones on one of them and we both laughed hysterically at the Red Bull advert... oh, shit, I forgot there was a bit with Morrissey being interviewed by Dave Fanning as well... sorry...

Yeah ummm that was cool too. But Moz still seems a bit obssessed with the Joyce case. I guess I can't blame the man- he's out around $1M cuz of it- but he claims he's not depressed or sad but he sure sounds like it when he dwells and rambles on and on and on and on about how everyone else in the world sucks and has been so bad to him... I hope he truly finds happiness and resolves these issues.

It's incredibly obvious, but hasn't really been put into words. To paraphrase--If Morrissey was in fact racist, it would be incredibly irresponsible of the NME to plaster him all over the cover and in issue after issue. Truly racist groups don't get coverage, and if Moz were in fact racist, he could've used the publicity for all sorts of "fascinating" purposes...

Morrissey is not only the greatest living singer and lyricist, but one of the best speakers as well...

is it just me or did Morrissey seem like he was in sort of a bad mood during this interview? (i've only listened to part one) i just got that subtle impression throughout. maybe a little extra when Dave asked about producers & at the end when Morrissey shoved Dave into a corner making him name a great contemporary pop lyricist.

Is it just me or did he ask exactly the same questions as Janice Long? No wonder Moz was bored!
