Teasingly, it says that the producer David Nolan went through more than 100 hours of footage, including a previously unseen home movie!

What the hell is he talking about? I'd like to just say, as an American, that I have never met anyone, American or otherwise, who holds this opinion. Now, to love The Smiths and not care much for Morrissey's solo stuff, right or wrong, is quite common. Maybe TOO common.
A Smiths DVD without all those awful actors dancing around England would be nice to have. Can't wait!

I would just like to say, as another American. If the Smiths never exsited, that would suit me just fine. I'm glad they did, but I found Morrissey first. I fell in love with his music first. Without the Smiths.
I think this whole thing is bullshit, and thats why Morrissey declined everything. I think the way people, media get away with saying whatever the shit they want, even though they weren't there is rediculous. Absolutly rediculous. The 2 guys that sew Morrissey are the only assholes to be a part of the whole thing. Gee I wonder if it will be unbiased. Fucken idiots.

Hey - I get what you mean. I discovered Morrissey in 1988 just after The Smiths broke up. I always think about Morrissey when I hear those old Smiths songs - I can't help to because to me, those other guys were really never there - except for that annoying Mike Joyce who happens to rear his demonic head now and then.

Anyway, "What if's" are never taken lightly here by die hard Smiths fans. Luckily, some of us understand when Morrissey says "The Smiths is dead boys"

Yeah, yeah, it was great that The Smiths existed. I'm glad for it, but please try to understand, Smithsheads, that some of us can only relate to Morrissey because we weren't there during The Smiths prime. Of course, we don't have to be ugly about it, but, well, it gets hard trying to explain all the time...
