David Mead interview includes many Smiths/Morrissey mentions

I found this interview on the David Mead website that mentions Morrissey and The Smiths at great length. David Mead is a really talented songwriter and very good artist. His first CD "The Luxury of Time" is excellent. His second "Mine and Yours" isn't bad either. If you love "Asleep", download Only in the Movies.

Some excerpts:
About the Smiths
"All the melody came from the guitar player, and it worked really perfectly for Morrissey's subject matter, his delivery, and his four-note range. So that was pretty intriguing because it was completely the opposite of anything that I had ever listened to."

About the perfect album
"The Queen Is Dead... it's a very good record but I have to look at all the songs. I have to look at it. See? 'Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others' I fucking hate."

Some Guitar Players Are Better Than Others (Score:1)
Interesting to read that this guy actually hates the song that has the best guitar riff ever made. I sense jealousy! This guy knows he can never do anything quite as good as "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others"! Pathetic.

Yes, morrissey can only sing 4 notes. And all his songs sound the same. And he wears black all the time. And him and all his fans are really miserable, depressing people. They should get a sense of humour. More effort required, man i've never heard of.
