Stockholm concert moved to larger venue "Hovet"

Martin Söderström writes:

the gig in Stockholm has been moved from the Annexet to the larger Hovet (which takes round 8,000 people).

This also means that many of us (including me and my gang) who'd bought STANDING tickets for Annexet now gets seating tickets for Hovet. The arrangers explain this with that even though Hovet is a larger venue, there's less standing tickets. So, without being asked, our standing tickets have been transformed into something we never ordered. This has happened to hundreds of people today, and people are furious.

Some friends of mine have spoken about taking this thing to the press in order to get back what they ordered in the first place...

if you're furious over something so trivial, perhaps you should consult a pychiatrist for some sort of counseling or medication. morrissey "fans" never cease to annoy me with their absurdity...

Back in 1991, Morrissey was supposed to play the Worcester Centrum in Worcester, Mass. Several days before the concert was to take place, it was announced that all the seated tickets that had been sold would be converted into general admission in order to accommodate a venue change (the venue was to grow smaller). We found this distressing because we were going to have to drive in from 60 minutes away after a rigidly structured military day. None of us was furious at this change, though. When we arrived at the new venue 20 minutes before showtime, we were met with news that the show had been suddenly cancelled. We were disappointed, but not furious. It had been an opportunity, and not all opportunities pan out. That's life. I recommend you be happy for what you have instead of focussing so keenly on what you don't. Cheers!
