As abhorrent as the notion of logging on to the NME's site may be, they've posted a review of Morrissey's Santa Barbara show and--shock, horror!--it's very positive.

I think they are making a fool of themselves, reviewing that Santa Barbara gig at this very moment, three days after Mozzers fantastic victory at the Royal Albert Hall. I guess they will pretend in the near future that THEY started the rehabilitation. But they're too late now, their opinion has become completely irrelevant, Morrissey doesn't need them anymore.

I honestly don't think they're capable of doing good, honest, insightful reviews at the NME. What matters to them is what is "cool" or "in" at the time. Morrissey is on the up again and they don't want to be seen as not knowing this.
