MISERY guts MORRISSEY played to a packed Royal Albert Hall — and few of his adoring male fans had a full head of hair.

His new, young fans were nowhere to be seen but the former SMITHS frontman — amazingly still without a record deal — thrived in the face of a 30 and 40-something audience.

The fans in turn swung their arms and writhed again to the soundtrack of their teenage angst.

He played Smiths classics Meat Is Murder, Hairdresser On Fire and my favourite There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.

His new material got a great reception from the crowd, which included JONATHAN ROSS, DAVID BOWIE, SEAN HUGHES and VIC REEVES.

It looks like Mozzer could be on his way back.

        whats this dickhead on about?no one with any hair?didnt think so!!!im only 19 for a start and there was loads of young people.and since when has hairdresser on fire been a smiths song????ughhhh!!!!!!!things like this really annoy me cos the guy soooo obviously wasnt there!!!!!

                  Okay, I'm nearly 35 but I honestly felt like one of the Oldies at the RAH. There were loads of younger fans, either that or they sure look good for their age and I wish I did!!! I don't know where this guy was looking???? Mind you, I didn't see David Bowie or Vic Reeves etc ? Perhaps if they'd not been so busy rubber necking them he/she'd have noticed the audience a little better ;o))

                      once again an incorrect account of a great concert. morrissey fans new,old,fat,young turned out 2 witness the legend himself, this reviewer was obviously to busy playing a game of spot the celabrity than concentrating on the performance. the songs "journalists who lie","mute witness" and "yes i`m blind" spring to mind.

                        I thought there was quite a large young crowd there (being 22 myself). And there were a few very stylish people there too!

                        Besides, it might have been nice for them to comment on the music.
