An anonymous person writes:

The dullest band on Earth, Coldplay, have chosen 'The Queen Is Dead' to be track 4 on their Mix-tape/CD in the NME article 'Burn It'. There reason was...

Jonny: "It's a totally bonkers epic. But then it's kitchen sink at the same time. There's not too many songs you can say that about."

Quite.

Other artists on the CD were Pixies, Gram Parsons, The Streets, REM, Kraftwerk, Aretha Franklin, The Clash, The Who and Oasis.

i'm pretty neutral on coldplay, but i was left wondering if the person dismissing them as the dullest band on earth is one of those mindless morrissey fans who pisses himself over gene and other such..um...music...and hails "southpaw grammar" among the classics(gee, talk about dull). just wondering...

I like Coldplay ( Donīt love it), and i think that "Southpawn Grammar" is a great, great album. If some guys donīt fully understand it, shame on them, since Morrissey himself on his "Oye Esteban" tour proved his love to this album by playing four (of nine) songs from this particular album on this tour. So what iīm trying to say is "IF YOU DONīT LIKE SOUTHPAWN GRAMMAR, GET OVER IT, NEVERMIND, GO LISTEN "VIVA HATE" AGAIN AND LEAVE US ALONE!!!"
