Morrissey thanks you in Royal Albert Hall ad

Paul Rhodes (The Slider) writes:

Morrissey or his promoters SJM have placed an advert in this weeks NME (14/09/02). The advert is half a page long advertising the sold out dates at The Albert Hall. What is most interesting is that the advert also says: MORRISSEY HIS BAND AND HIS CREW SAY Thank You!

I think this is a very nice gesture whether it be from Morrissey or his promoters.

      Ha! Brilliant!

Two nights at the Albert Hall already sold out and *then* Moz puts an ad in the NME - a stroke of absolute genius, Sir.

And then to credit it all to the fans, well. . . To so strikingly remove any credit whatever from the NME (who have suddenly started to stroke the hand of the "racist spent-force" that is "hopeless, cowardly, negative, embarrassing, tedious" little Morrissey) is pitching it exactly right. They are struggling and they depend on Moz for their very lives - they're begging to be friends again. I pray this ad is Moz's deliberate gesture and not a booking agent's accident.

Tell the vile thugs, Morrissey, tell them it's just too late! Then release an album, conquer the universe and give interviews to everyone else and a bowl of sloppy custard to them.
