Isn't that the "November Spawned a Monster" video? Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but Morrissey was running around trying to break lightbulbs in "The More You Ignore Me..." video. I don't understand how people like this write articles like these and continue to get paid. Hey, how about doing some research? Nah, I'll just wing it. No one will notice.

Anyone who begins an article by describing Moss's audience as "gay teens" knows nothing of which he writes, neither the artist nor the audience. I read no further than that trite comment. When will critics learn that intelligent and aesthetically conscious people listen to Morrissey, not gay or straight or hypersensitive people? If a majority of Moz fans are in some way disaffected it is because we live in a world that rewards ignorance, where money, rather than integrity, insight or creativity not to mention talent, governs which art reaches the masses.

I don't mind negative articles, but I least expect them to be decently researched. Let's see, besides the video blunder, the Smtihs didn't inspire the Cure or Depeche who were around much earlier, the British public didn't ignore his solo stuff and the NME named the most influential band on the magazine, which is different than most influential band. I didn't read any further, because this guy obviously has his head up his ass.

And the press wonder why he doesn't do intervieuws.

Gay teens? sensitive closet kids? What the heck is this guy talking about? I played football and had tons of sex with my girlfriend, and we were huge Smiths/Morrissey fans. We even brought "How soon is Now?" to play at the prom.
